I have to disagree with this completely.  How is a person supposed to even
know what goes on within the SCA if not told?
More importantly, outgoing extroverted people will already be introducing
themselves and asking questions, it is the less extroverted that need the
introductions to the SCA and to the people within it.  Yes, many newcomers
do need led by the hand until they know who/what & where.  Without some form
of inclusion new people will NOT stick around.
