Salve Michael,
With pleasure! The Roman Way was started by a few ancient Roman enthusiasts in and arouns Austin who were a part of a local military reenactment group, but wanted to bring in more civilian activities for partners and kids who may not be into "the fighting thing."
So, we focus on the civilian life of Romans in the 1st centuries (BC and AD). Basically any Roman craft or interest is welcome. I tend to spend my time on costuming, jewelry and cosmetics, and culinary interests. Recently I've been recreating ancient Roman bread, and researching the use of herbs in the 1st c. But have a look at our website (a work in progress) for more information about what we do. The interests of our members vary widely!
