There is a similar, but perhaps simpler, opportunity through the Austin 
Public Library <http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/library/>.  The Little 
Walnut Creek and Yarborough branches, at least, have display cases in 
which they showcase "collections" of various types.  Contact 
information for the groups supplying the materials is typically 
displayed on a tasteful card inside the case.  We could put together a 
general SCA "collection", with photos and samples of things our 
artisans have made, or any number of more specialized displays.  (I'm 
willing to bet an armor "collection" would draw a lot of attention, as 
would a display on calligraphy and illumination.)  The last time I 
looked, there were signs up near the cases indicating they were looking 
for things to show.
