4. Re: Welcome Banner (Aurelia Coritana)
Hail and well met. I have been reading the posts on these interesting topics
especialy the newcomer one. I am basicaly a newcomer and I would like to say
I felt very welcomed here. I am myslef not a very loud person and I can be a
bit quiet in crowds. When the topics get around such as fighting and
armoring I am all over them. The benefit I had coming to Bryn Gwlad is that
I have been in other SCA groups as well as armoring and fighting seems to
always break the ice for me.
The main issue is my Mundane lousy job I have makes it very difficult to
participate in anything presently. Working Saturday through Tuesday nights
just makes things extremely difficult to go to anything. Hoping soon that
will change.
One of the issues I have is thatthere are so many interests and things I
would like too besides armoring and fighting. It can be a bit daunting such
as I am real need of some new garb, help with device and my research in my
name, brewing, persona research.... the list goes on. When your time is so
limited you tend to focus on what you like the most and you know you are
somewhat skilled at.
I would like sincerely thanks Gaston for inviting me to the armor workshop
he has at is house. Without his tools I would of never been able to finish
my new scale armor project as well as raiding his fridge of ice cream.
