[Bryn-gwlad] A Dying Barony?!

I think not! ;-)

I am of the mindset that recruitment is certainly
important....however...Bryn Gwlad is not some dying quail.  We have the
largest population of registered members of any group in Ansteorra!
And, not only do we have the numbers, we certainly have the quality of
membership! :-)

Case in point...when I look for folks to brainstorm with and participate
in one of my latest event/project ideas, I have no shortage of folks
that want to be involved *and* who stay with the project through its
completion.  I can honestly say that of all the other SCA groups that
I've been a member of, BG shows the most heart, dedication and
enthusiasm!  I *love* this Barony!  Personally, I'm more impressed by
the quality of folks that want to play than the quantity.

There is always room for improvement in anything that we do, however,
please don't loose site of the fact that what we've been doing to
attract new members has obviously been tremendously successful.

Tweaks to the system, helping hands, ideas, brainstorming...you bet!
Keep raising the bar!  

Head for the hills the plague is upon us? An overhaul of the system?  I
don't think we need it.
