Over the years, Ariella/Chretien and I have invited some mundane
friends, clothed them and quietly brought them to our events (one was
with us a the Lysts at Castleton).  Being in a marketing/sales position
in my mundane life, I've always benefited most by referrals.  Do you
know of someone who may be interested in the SCA in your extended circle
of friends?  I know that, in our case, most of our friends are already
in the SCA, but occassionally we'll invite someone in who is not.

On another note, I've been toying around with the idea of marketing our
events to a small audience outside the SCA in the hopes that folks will
come to our event and see us in all our glory (as opposed to just PiP).
Of course, this means that we may have a few folks in mundane clothing
coming in, however, we can easily dress them if they wish to
participate.
