[Bryn-gwlad] August Archery Tourney!

Come one come all to the extravaganza that is Bryn Gwlad Archery!

On Sunday, August 13th,  Bryn Gwlad will be hosting a 'Tiny' Archery
Tourney at the usual Sunday Practice site at McNeil Park in Round Rock
- http://bryn-gwlad.ansteorra.org/whereweare.php - plan to show up
early, say 1:30'ish as we'll start promptly at 2pm with a short Court
to be held at the end by Baron Thomas.

Schedule: (all times are give and take ala SCA time)

1:30 - 1:50 - Sign up
2:00 - 3:45 - Tournament
3:45 - 4:00 - Court

Competition will be broken up in to two groups; Adults / Children

Adults will compete in Longbow and/or Crossbow (time permitting), in
three rounds:

Adults 1st and 2nd round are point rounds - standard target, 12 arrows
per round.
3rd round will a prize round, 5 balloons, single arrow, lowest points
from rounds 1 and 2 will shoot first, then the next lowest and so on.

Children's will be the same as above except on the children's range
and with 6 instead of 12 arrows.  Children will have their own set of
5 balloons to shoot at.

Prizes will be awarded in both Adult Long/Crossbow and Children's
Longbow for combined highest points in rounds 1 and 2 and

SAFETY CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH!

Volunteers will be needed - Herald, Range Safety, Scoring Assistance,
Water Barer, Post Tourney Cleanup - please contact me off list ...

Costume / Garb HIGHLY encouraged but not required.
