Well, yes and no. OpenOffice.org is close to Microsoft Office, but
I've hit different substantial bugs in each of the last three releases
(2.0.[012]). I use OOo to read files on Linux, and I save an Excel
spreadsheet in ASCII, but I don't edit files in OOo. It's a pity --
I have hopes that some work will make OOo a drop-in replacement --
but I don't feel I can rely on it yet.
