[Bryn-gwlad] Archery Tourney this weekend

Greetings Milords and Ladies
 
I write to you with word of an archery tourney to be held this  weekend.  The 
location will be the Jarrel Flea Market where we have been  invited to set up 
as an experimental attraction.  The tourney will consist  of unlimited 
qualifying rounds (as many as the archer wishes to shoot) at $3 per  round of ten 
arrows.  Archers will shoot ten arrows at a distance of 25  feet at a standard 
bullseye target.  Scores will be kept posted.  At 4  PM on Saturday we will 
take the top 4 archers present from the leader  board and hold a shoot off for 
day champion.  Sunday the day champion  tourney will be at 3 PM, followed by the 
Grand Champion tourney, which will  consist of each day's champion and runner 
up.  There will be two categories  - Youth (14 and under) and Open (everyone 
else).  Grand champion in each  will receive a medal.  EVERY archer will 
receive a prize EVERY paid round,  depending on score.  Prizes may be combined to 
trade up for other  prizes.  Basic level prizes will be "dragon tears"....  
 
Garb is optional, but there will be a few people out from one of the local  
LARP groups doing a demo, so there will likely be some others....  Please  note 
this is NOT an SCA sanctioned event - it is a promotional effort of the  flea 
market and the local re-enactment group.  All funds raised from the  archery 
will go towards materials for the construction of a permanent archery  
facility at Avalon Isle Fairegrounds, home of Excalibur Fantasy Faire.
