These are the words Conor read to convene the evening court
(as translated by Robert Graves & G. E. Martt).

- - - -

I am a hawk on a cliff,
I am a stag of seven tines.

I am a wild boar ruthless and red,
I am a spear that roars for blood.

I am a hill where poets walk,
I am the wind on a deep lake.

I am a dragon fire bright,
I am a martlet, golden flight.

I am the thistle and the gorse,
I am the huntsman on his horse.

I am a crane along the shore,
I am a lion - and its roar.

- - - -

            Thomas
