[Bryn-gwlad] Hello, I am new!

Hi there,

I am newish to Texas but not new to the SCA. I was a member in the Northwest
for a while but dropped out due to an inordinate amount of drama and other
stuff that made me sad.

I am, however, really missing the good times and I figured that since
everyone I have met in Texas so far is incredibly welcoming and nice, I
would give the SCA another shot! I am pretty much alone here and can be
rather painfully shy at times, so please be gentle.

My main interests are in creating garb that is as authentic as possible
while still being comfortable and durable enough to wear. Sadly, my sewing
gear has not yet made it to texas and will not be here for a few more
months, but when I go home to visit I intend to sort though my stash and
bring all the best bits back with me.

In the meantime, I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself and see
how you guys do things around here. I will be working as a volunteer at the
Celtic Festival tomorrow, and if you're going to be there as a group I
thought I might seek you out and give a hello.

So yes, um, hello!  Tell me a little about yourself, Barony!  Oh yes, I have
not yet created a new persona, as I thought I would see if that was a
requirement here.  I would also like to create one that fits in, if so, as I
believe my former Italian self might be a wee bit displaced!
