<shrug> You obviously haven't been paying attention.

I make a new fighting doublet every three to five years. Ditto for my 
trunk hose. While they tend to follow the same overall "black and 
red" motif (hey, I like black and red, so sue me) the details are 
different every time. I also have a "general purpose" doublet--the 
one I was wearing at the Baronial Hunt last weekend--and a black 
velvet court doublet that I wear for Candlemas, Coronation, and 
similar events. I've also got a war tabard, a marshalling tabard and 
a couple of "generic medieval" tunics if I need to wear something early period.
