[Bryn-gwlad] Advanced Costuming Classes!

Greetings,


I am coordinating a series of advanced costuming classes.  These are not
designed as beginner classes, and a low to intermediate level of sewing
knowledge will be inferred (okay, you know how to use a sewing machine, and
you can do a hem by hand, but what about making buttons and buttonholes?)



They are tentatively scheduled for the second Sunday of every month from
3:30 to 5:30 at my home in the La Frontera area of Round Rock.  Handouts or
CD's may be available for a minimum cost.



The first of these classes will be held this Sunday, November 12, 2006 and
will focus on Early Period (12th and 13th century) tunic construction.  Please
bring a notebook and something to write with.  I have a limited amount of
seating, so pillows or chairs might also be desired.



The second of these classes will be on Sunday, December 10, 2006, and deal
with Early Period accessories and embellishment.

·         Take IH-35 south to 1325 / Louis Henna Blvd / IH-45.  If coming
from the North, it is exit 251, and from the South, 250.

·         Turn East on Louis Henna Blvd.

·         Go through the stop light at Greenlawn and continue to the 2nd
Stop Light at AW Grimes (there is a Walgreen's on the corner), turn right.

·         At the 4-way stop at Victoria Station (It's a major intersection)
turn right.

·         The first road on the right will be Marfa Lights, just after a
water tower.  Turn right there.

·         At the 3rd street on the left, Lobo Mountain, turn left and
continue to the end.

·         Where the road ends at Limpia Creek, park.  You should be in front
of my house.  It is a 2-story limestone and white siding house.
