Salut cozyns,

Since the Aveloc R&D, the BOD has been falling back on the item in Corpora
that says they won't publish any information if the parties in volved so
desire. Of course, in Aveloc's case he begged them to publish the details
and they refused, initially claiming they were protecting him. Later they
claimed they were protecting others involved who did not wish their
involvement publicized.

Ysabeau mentions the Drik Lancaster case, which is interesting for a couple
of reasons. First, note the item immediately following the three motions
against Dirk. Dirk exiled Count Brand, his mundane brother. I don't know all
the details, but Dirk's request to the BOD to have Count Brand R&Ded (a
request they threw out) was apparently what launched the investigation that
ended in Dirk's revocation. Brand claims the BOD upheld his exhile (two
weeks) in order to appear impartial.

Second, if you compare the three items on Dirk you find that only the
first--permanent revocation of fighting authorization--is listed as an
action taken at the behest of the Crown. The BOD revoked Dirk's peerage on
their own initiative.

lo vostre per vos servir
Meser Lyonel
