Ahh, but that's if you have a PC.
I have had them, and that is what you do.
But on my work Mac that I'm on now, I do it and get this:
0240

I was on my home laptop before.
But here -- tadaaa! -- at work, I can pull down my handy Icelandic flag*
from the pulldown menu and get all the ðs and þs I want.

(*That's if I'm on the Web or in Text Edit. Word won't do it for me on the
Mac. This is one definite advantage of the PC. About the only one, in my
experience)

BUT that doesn't mean these cool characters won't show up on y'all's screens
as ?????s.

>The extended character set also includes an uppercase and lowercase thorn
>(Þ,þ) and an uppercase edh (Ð) but not a wynn.

For that, I just pull down my handy Old English flag and. . .hmmmm.
(For yogh, I just pull down my Middle English flag and - - - - - - - - -)

með beztu kveðju,

quitting while i'm ahead
