That's a reason I use a pewtery goblet: it has a long hand, and if
that fails, a wide base.  But I don't drink much stuff that's hot.

I'm considering a mug, though, just because I like to have lots of
water outside.  Do the handles really conduct that much heat (in which
case, I use it only for water)?  Are there pewtery mugs without that
glass bottom?
