Something like that happened at one of the early Bordermarch Melees 
(back when we still used the site on I-10 east of Beaumont) where a 
combat bolt got wedged in the fighter's grillwork. I don't *think* he 
freaked out--he thought it was pretty funny and left the bolt 
sticking out of his helm while he walked around the field afterwards.

It probably freaked out a few marshals and some of the other 
fighters, though...
