[Bryn-gwlad] A Tourney in the Storm

We enjoyed a fine tournament last night - for those who braved the rain,
and the warriors displayed much energy, eloquence, and skill.

There was a fine English mist as we prepared for contest,
then a strong Norse storm as the tourney commenced.
And the rain ceased as soon as the tourney was completed.

Strange and wonderful. At one point I saw the silhouette
of two warriors embracing in battle with a wild spray
of water between them. All were fearless against the wet
and each fighter dedicated their efforts to those who inspired
them (and Lord Giotto dedicated himself to the rain).

I want to especially thank those who helped make this tourney
possible: Our generous steward and his lady, our marshals,
our list mistress, my herald(s), and the baronial guard.

It is easy to stand in the sunlight. We are measured best
when we strive against the storm.

      Myself as Witness,

            Thomas
