Hello All,
I realize this may be a little off topic, but I think that there are a few people, especially those who do Japanese personas, that would be interested. Here are the details:
Kimono Dinner Party

Origami Japanese Restaurant in Round Rock, Texas
I am hosting a Kimono Dinner Party at Origami Japanese Restaurant on April 21st, 2007 at 7:00 PM. This is strictly a social event and is open to all Bujinkan members. There will be people from other Japanese culter related groups so it should be well attended.
Here are a few more details:
As this is called a Kimono Dinner Party, please try to wear a kimono or similar traditional Japanese clothing. A keiko gi to with hakama is acceptable. Older period Japanese clothing is defintely welcomed.
Please note that this is not a cosplay event. If you have a cosplay outfit that happens to be a kimono that is all right. However, the idea is to have a classy, semi-formal get-together in Japanese attire. I ask that you please respect what I and the other participants are wanting to do.
Please do not bring any weapons. Yes, katana and wakizashi are very Japanese, but bringing a weapon into a restaurant where alcohol is served can get you arrested.
If you absolutely do not have any traditional clothing but still really want to come, nice, casual clothing or asian styled clothing is ok. After all Origami Japanese Restaurant is open to the public.
If you have not been to Origami before, they have really great Japanese food and a great atmosphere. Some of the wait staff are Japanese so you can practice your Nihongo with them.
