[Bryn-gwlad] Make or refurbish your honor shield for Lysts - Sun., April 29

Good gentles all!

The time for Lysts is drawing near, and both the Lysts website and the April It Cometh urge all participants to provide an honor shield.

To further this goal, Sir Lyonel and I will host an Honor Shield Painting Gathering, this Sunday, the 29th of April, at 3pm. Rain or shine--join us to create or refurbish your honor shield, that our heraldry may reflect well on the honor of ourselves and our Barony!

We will supply:
- pre-cut and pre-drilled blanks (1/4" plywood) of the proper size (if we find the time, they will also be primed beforehand)
- acrylic paint in a variety of colors (white, black, gold, silver, red, blue, green, yellow, brown)
- PearlEx metallic powders, for those who want that extra glitz
- carbon paper, for tracing the device onto the shield
- some paintbrushes
- chairs and a worktable
- beverages and snacks

You supply:
- Yourself
- A drawing or description of your device
- Acrylic paint, if your device uses a color not listed above (Apple/Americana/etc. brands can be purchased at Michael's/Hobby Lobby/etc. for a buck or two per bottle.)

Bring a brush or two if you have any lying around (ours are mostly small, so larger ones would be good). Our demesne is close to MoPac and Spicewood Springs/Steck -- a Google map for directions is at http://tinyurl.com/ytd2r4 .  Reply to the list or email Lucia if you have any questions.
