In my opinion ... One way to view this issue ... If  a champion is "chosen", 
it nearly matters not where, though the further from  home one is chosen, the 
more unusual I would find it.  HE Thomas is Bryn  Gwlad personified.  As He 
chooses, so does he speak for His populace.   Using it to set the stage as a 
reason for a tournament could lessen the value of  the championship.  Please 
consider the spirit in which I say that, though I  was mighty proud to be Jason's 
Champion by right of arms, how much more honored  was Mahdi's champion to be 
chosen from among the ones who attended, stating  their intent not to merely to 
vie for a title, but to desire the  job.
    It gets very subtle gaging the intent of  someone to enter a champions 
tourney list.
 
    And, BTW, champion of Bryn Gwlad is a very  prestigious honor.  One need 
merely to look back at those who held claim to  that title, and where they are 
today.
 
    Again, ONE of many ways to view this issue.
