What I meant was I, as a peson, if I desire, cannot fight the rapier
tourney, the chivalric tourney, and the archery tourney all at the same
time because they are all happening at the same time. It is unrealistic to
expect one tourney to be held up just so I can compete in all of them and
I must make the decision on which one to fight in or not fight in.
We held a Braonial championship one year where both Chivalric and Rapier
occurred at the same time on the same fields concurrently, and I htough it
worked wonderfully as there was little "break" in the action as one list
was getting the next round paired there was fighting occuring instead of
the down time between rounds.
But as an artist and a rapier fighter I am being asked to choose which
area I am willing to give up to participate in the other, do I teach,
which frequently turns in to an all day thing as students work on things
or do I fight and not teach.
I believe we can still to great events and not do everything at a single
one, but in fairness to all, why ask one group to make a choice which the
others are not asked to make,
Just a question, but what is the thought from the chivalric community if
ths championship for chivalric was moved to Candlemas and those who also
teach classes have to either teach a class or fight for the championship?
