For the armored side of the field, that would be accurate, Warlord is
the big local event in Kingdom. For rapier, their really is no one
local event that is the stand out. The main tourneys for rapier are
Queens and Guardian. Beyond that, it varies depending on several
factors...location, who the local landed are, tourney format, etc...

You can get folks to go to an event if it is a fun idea and good
people work to promote it. A few years ago, several of us trekked off
to Bonwicke for an Octavian event. It was an 8 hour drive to Lubbock,
there was not a WS Circle, but the rapier tourney had something like
40+ fighters in it. It was a fun format and the local landed of
Bonwicke at the time, Kayleigh and Drake, went all over the place and
promoted it...as well as having several others from Bonwicke out
talking up the event. We can get folks to show up if we, as the
members of BG, come up with good ideas and get the word out.

Personally, I like the format of chiv and archery in BG Fall and
rapier and A&S in Candlemas. I like being able to go to the fall
event and not have to worry about Rapier and simply being able to
enjoy the event and help as I can. It leaves me free to concentrate
at Candlemas on fighting rapier.

We all have to understand that there is only finite amounts of time.
SOMEONE is gonna have to deal with a conflict of having more than one
thing at the same event. It sucks, but it is life. I would
personally love that extra few hours in each day, but I can't seem to
find them.
