Latigo makes good straps, it is sold at Tandy in small bags, or you can buy a piece and cut your own straps with a strap cutter.

Have you got something that will cut it? I know those spaulders aren't needed to get onto the field, but they'd make me feel a bit better.

And if I get a chance to swing by Tandy leather tomorrow, I'm going to ask for Dennis (if he works on weekends) and try to pick up some vegetable-tanned saddle skirting for my vambraces/legs, demigauntlets, etc. Correct? What do I want for strapping? I assume they must have small buckles and either leather in strips, or just another bit of slightly thinner stuff, que no?

Any additional advice or recommendations for my shopping would be appreciated.

PS. Where do I get that snazzy blue padding for my helm, when it finally arrives? http://spiers-saddlery.stores.yahoo.net/ststnoheor1m.html <- that's it, BTW
