Hi Heather,
You are doing pretty good on costuming books int he
ones you ordered. Medieval Tailor's Assistant is one
that is used to death in my craft room :)
Beyond that I would look into collecting artwork of
the period to help create accurate clothing. Most
likely you will be drafting your own patterns if you
are wanting truly authentic stuff. There are some
other books out there, but as far as construction
guides go, the ones you mentioned are the best I have
found.
For Authentic clothing sites check Historic
Enterprises http://www.historicenterprises.com/
or Revival Clothing http://www.revivalclothing.com/
I also try and produce high quality clothing for my
Lord and myself. While I tend not to have much time I
may be able to work out a deal with you to make
outfits for yourself depending on what you are looking
for. I have very limited knowledge in some areas, for
example I don't have a clue as to how to make a kilt
:) but I am always willing to learn. Right now I am
mostly experienced in making clothes in the era around
1360. I have made 1 15th Century Italian and 1
Elizabethan, so I have knowledge in those, but am not
as proficient.
Anyway feel free to contact me if you need more info
or would like to meet to see my work.
