  Ahh...I had seen the "belted plaid" before at other events, and it was

I had in mind, I just didn't remember the right term. This would
 obviously
be for winter wear, and it's mostly just because I want to see my
 husband in
a skirt. :) Any sources that you have would be helpful.

  If you really want a kilt for him, you can use a plaid in a cotton fabric, much more suited to the weather here. I would not recomend using it for a competion of any sort...but it would be cool and comfortable. I made a few of those for some of the men in Dragon's Laire.
