Can anyone recommend a place to get a spring steel, or even better
Spring Stainless buckler?

I found one place on line, but they don't mention if it's tempered , or
even hardened, just carbon steel,  and I hate to assume.

I had a blast!  I wanted to reiterate the thanks to Amata and Rhiannon
for being great list mistresses, Don Tivar, Colin and Tarquin for
looking after the marshalling, all the folks who helped out with the
pavilion, Baron Thomas for being such a gracious host and all the folks
who were brave enough to fight despite the threats of rain.
  It was inspirational to see folks using the period techniques from the
class.  Thanks for helping make a great Medieval moment for me.
  Oh, and about bruised legs, I did recommend cuisses, didn't I?
Seriously though, Cal your footwork in particular was looking really
good.
