Greetings unto all the artisans of our fair barony,
The rules and entry form for the A&S Competition and Exhibition at Candlemas 2008 are still being revised at this time. ? They will be available within a few days. ? The rules will be somewhat different than those used last year.?
When the revisions are approved by the event steward, Mistress Gwyneth Blackrose, they will be posted to this list and published on the Candlemas website (http://bryn-gwlad.ansteorra.org/events/Candlemas2008/index.php).? Paper copies of the rules and entry form will also be available at the January business meeting and at PiP.
One question I can answer now: tables will be provided.?? Each entrant will have approximately 3 x 3 feet of table space.? Those requiring floor space or additional table space will need to let me know in advance.

Good evening all,
My curiosity has been piqued about this upcoming A&S competition, and I'd like
to know exactly what can I expect?
I have participated in Laurel's Prize tourneys and such, but I have a feeling
they are run totally diffrent here then what I am used to. I assume
documentation is required on all submissions, right?
For this particular competition, is there a theme we must keep to? A time
period? A region or culture we have to showcase ( since it's a Saxon and Danish
event)? Are there any artistic fields that are off limits (brewing at a dry
site, etc.?)
How about our presentations.....are we provided tables? Is it appropriate to
provide paper and pen for judges to leave remarks or critiques? Who is judging
the competition? How many winners are there? How are they judged?
I checked the Baronial page, but didn't find the answers I was looking
for.....so if anyone can shed some light on these questions for me, I'd be in
their debt :) It sounds like a great opportunity, and a lot of fun either way
:)
Namaste,
Lady Sunayna Vindisani
