Greetings From Alina Unto All:

I had so many wonderful folks helping me make my vision of Candlemas
a reality and I hope not to miss thanking them.

Many thanks goes to Lady Isabella of Bryn Gwlad for the ambience of
the hall, coordinating all the dance classes during the day and
dancing in the evening.

Double thanks to Lady Elisabetta for the abundance of interesting
classes and making the event brochure. Thanks goes to Master Pug and
Honorable Lady Myfawny ferch Eifion for the lending of their pavilion
for one of the classroom. HL Myfawny also thank you for coordinating
the manning of gate

Mistress Gwyneth Blackrose the feast was scrumptious as always.
Thanks goes to Mistress Saundra of Loch Raeburn for helping with the
coordinating of the serving of the feast and heralding our guest,
Queen Eleanor whenever it was needed. Don Dore Christian thank you
escorting Eleanor into the hall. Thank you goes to Sigrid Jensdottir
for manning the table reservation. Honorable Lady Sosha Lyon's
O'Rourke thanks for cooking the nobles luncheon. I'm sure the nobles
loved it and the populace enjoyed getting the left-overs. Centurian
Giotto di Govanni for changing the hall for evening. Thanks Baron
Niklas Vasilevich for making sure we had a clean kitchen after the
feast.

Thank also goes to Lord Rene d Amours and his staff, Honorable Lady
Rhiannon o Goed Niwlog and Lord Ceallach mac Donal for wonderful the
rapier tournament many gentles enjoyed watching during the day. Lady
Isabelica Gonazales de Guadalupe coordinating the waterbearing so the
populace and rapier combatants would have available water and
gatorade whenever they needed it

(Now) Lady Pamphilene of Misra, thank you coordinating the A&S
competition and display.

Deborah Zallen thanks for helping coordinate the merchants area.

Lord Laszlo Nemanzelsky thank you for making sure I had a herald
whenever it was needed. Lord Sion Glas thanks for heralding the class
changes.

Lady Stephanie Winter von Brandenburg thanks for making sure we had
music to fill the hall during the day and evening.

Thanks goes to Sir Lyonel Oliver Grace and his lady, Lucia Digioia
for the cleaning of the hall in the late hour in the evening. Sir
Lyonel thank you for signing on for this duty at the late date . His
lady, Lucia had her own heavy-duty vacuum cleaner for the hall. The
church's site person told us we didn't need to vacuum, but we did
anyway. I told her the SCA has a saying and a way of thinking about
after an event, "Always leave a site cleaner than how you found it."
Her reply was after other folks use the hall, "It always looks like a
tornado flew into the hall."

Other thanks goes to gentles who weren't even on my staff but helped
measurably Lord Thomas of Conway and Lord Alfred Huddlestone. Lord
Thomas made sure baronial equipment was delivered from the shed to
the site for use during the event. Lord Alfred for being around and
available to do a task that needed to done at a moment's notice

Thanks goes to our seneschal, Lady Emeline Neville and our baron,
Baron Thomas of Tenby being supportive before and during the event. I
would like to thank the barony at large for giving me their full
support especially being we just had an event the weekend before.

Special thanks goes to my mentor, Lord Jehan D'Aigle for his
unwavering support and guidance. For first-time steward, I highly
recommend Lord Jehan for mentoring. I can't even begin to thank you
enough, Jehan.

Tomorrow is the business meeting, I hope all Candlemas staff members
are able to make as I have something special for each member.

Thanks Again Bryn Gwlad,
Lady Alina Mitchell
Steward of Bryn Gwlad's Candlemas 2007
