I want to brag about the service of the members of our Baronial Guard and give them all a personal thanks.
Bryn Gwlad, your guard worked really hard, again, to make this barony look good to and to help our event staff pull
off another very successful event.
Guardsmen could be seen everywhere Saturday. They were there for set-up, decorating, gate money counts, escorts
for the Baron and Eleanor, assisting entourage with loading and unloading duties, on-call for almost any task, entered
in the A&S, Bardic and Rapier competitions, heralding, marshaling, teaching, moving tables and chairs, tearing down,
un-decorating and packing up gear.
Once again they performed flawlessly when called into court. I want to thank Baron Doré for once again acting as our
drummer.
A special thanks to Elidan who set up and decorated the Guard's tables for feast and once again made us look so good
that the set up won the table decorating contest. Of course, I like to think the uniformed men and women around that
table added to the atmosphere.
I also want to welcome two aspiring guardsmen who joined us for the day. Wolf, a newcomer to our barony but no
stranger to guard service back in Steppes, worked with the guard for the first time on Saturday. Goldweard performed
his application to join the guard in the form of an original anthem about the Baronial Guard.
Thank you Baron Thomas for allowing us to be your Guard and thank you to the populace of Bryn Gwlad for allowing
us to serve you and for your support of the Guard.
Thank you Baroness Seana for making the Guard part of Bryn Gwlad.
It is truly my privilege to command the best Baronial Guard in the Known World.
