[Bryn-gwlad] A flannel ex-sheet

I have a set of flannel sheets (queen size, natch; I got them in
Michigan or Illinois). The top sheet developed a hole, and I stuck my
arm in it turning in the night and ripped it more. I thought about
just tossing it, but I thought I should first ask whether anyone had
any use for it.
To mend it and use it as a sheet again would be about 25 inches of
sewing (but if that's your plan, I'll add the bottom fitted sheet and
the pillowcases). The hole is near the top center, so you couldn't
just cut it down to be single or double bed size and hem the
remainder. Otherwise, it's probably useful as clean soft rags to
wipe off eyeglasses and such (and I'll probably cut off a few rags
for my own use). Or as padding to stuff into something else that's
supposed to be warm, which isn't so useful down here ... It's a
pastel plaid, so I don't consider it very decorative.
Anyway, please e-mail tmcd at panix.com directly if you have a use for
it. Or if, like Mari nic Bryan, you have a selvage (?) machine
designed to hem easily.
