Back in 2005 when I submitted a new name to be registered, I really planned
not to use it until it had the "official stamp". As time passed, I started
using it but never announced it formally to the group because I was still
thinking it would come through any day. I recently learned that my name has
been passed, so here's the formal announcement!

I will no longer be using the name Mot Cather in the SCA. My new name is
Amata Amati d'Arezzo. You can still call me Mot (I suppose, techically, it
would be spelled Mat) as a nickname of Amata. I specifically picked a name
containing that sound and syllable to avoid too much confusion in making the
switch.

The Italian persona is more in line with my interests in the SCA. (I
transported Mot Cather over from my time working at the California Renn
Faire). Thank you, Don Maelgwn, for your interesting class on persona which
led to my "makeover"!

My next step will to finally get around to choosing a device. Some of us
are slower than others!

   Amata
