Having recently discussed such details with the A&S Coordinator, I can 
with with confidence explain:

Up to three ITEMS may be included in your single allowed entry into the 
competition.  The entry must be coherent.  Examples the Coordinator 
gave me include the following:

> three varieties of medieval German sausage
> three cast pewter pins: one early period and two mid period, all in 
> the Celtic manner
> two pairs of leather gloves derived from 15th century French models
> three different food items appropriate to a 12th century Middle 
> Eastern feast
