[Bryn-gwlad] Training Opportunities at the Bryn Gwlad Candlemas Celebration

Greetings Chirurgeons and Chirurgeons-In-Training of Bryn Gwlad and the Southern Region!

 There will be two excellent training opportunities available to you at the Bryn Gwlad Candlemas celebration ( http://bryn-gwlad.ansteorra.org/Candlemas/) this coming February!  I heartily encourage all CIT's and Chirurgeons to attend.  Here is a synopsis of the classes:

Chirurgeon 101



 



time limit: 1 hour ( morning)



 



Lead Instructor: Lady Eleanora Elizabeth Caley - Deputy Kingdom Chirurgeon of Training







 



No class limit.



 





This
is the beginning chirurgeon class. It is a requirement for all
chirurgeons-in-training.  Basic theory and documentation of being a
chirurgeon / first aid responder at SCA events. Offers non-contact
authorization.



 



Class cost: free





 



( After lunch we are introducing a new chirurgeon course - if it is submitted and approved before then.)



 



Chirurgeon 102



 



time limit: 2 hours ( after lunch)



 



Lead Instructor: Lord Arkell Vom Cophus - Gulf Wars XVI War Chirurgeon



 



No class limit.



 



First time to be taught in Ansteorra. This is the next level of
chirurgeon skills training for the new and "seasoned" chirurgeon. Armor
extrication, quick assessment, how to splint with what you have... This
course goes in depth into "To move or not to move off an SCA
battlefield." and When to call EMS? 



 



Prereq: Chirurgeon 101
