[Bryn-gwlad] feel sad for us workers

This is the first time I haven't had to go in when the roads were iced over. Animal shelter employees, as a group, are considered "essential" employees and have to report for work even when all other city offices are closed. But since my position is not directly involved in animal care, my boss called last night and said I don't have to come in. That may have something to do with the fact that I can dial in and work from home...

I also remember what it was like to work outside in this sort of weather, and I sure don't miss it. It's bad enough to have to drive in it, but my thoughts are especially with the utility crews and animal caretakers and mail carriers and anyone else who has to be outside today!

Sigriðr, who once knew how to drive in this stuff, but it's been a long time!

Work tried to tell us we had to work. The union's going to have fun with this one. I called in, it took 20 minutes to get through the sickline (it's normally almost instant).
