Unto the Archers of Bryn Gwylad:
Your Barony needs the strength of your bows and the fearsome bite of your
arrows in the upcoming war with the Kingdom of Trimaris!
Sir Gideon, commander of our Baronies' forces in this war has charged me
with organizing our combat and non combat archers and preparing you for war.
Strong archery support in the melees is VITAL to our success on the field
and I ask all combat archers who are able to to attend the war. Sir Gideon
and I both have combat legal bows, crossbows arrows and bolts that are
available for use at war.
We also need the support of non-combat archers. For those who have never
been to Gulf Wars, there are archery ranges open every day for target
archery. There is a target archery competion between the kigdoms and a
number of other sponsored archery tournaments through out the week.
I am holding a meeting at Candlemas open to all archers and anyone
interested in archery this Saturday at Candlemas. Right now, I am planning
to meet at 3 pm, but I want as many people to be able to come as possible,
so e-mail me if there is a better time. I cannot be on site untill about
1:30.
I want to talk about who can go to Gulf Wars, who is combat authroized, and
who needs equipment. For anyone who is not authorized, we can probably get
your heavy weapons authorizations by War with some hard work and commitment,
but probably not your combat archery authoriztions. If people are serious
and interested in this I will speak with Master Pug, and HL Eadric and see
if we can find a way to get people authorized in time.
The second thing I want to discuss is finding a new site for Baronial target
archery practices. We desperately need to find a site before we lose the
excellent momentum and strong base that had been built up over the past few
years.
I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
Yours in Service to Bryn Gwylad,
Ld. Uther Blackthorne
Bryn Gwylad Archery Comander
