[Bryn-gwlad] Summer in Bryn Gwlad

Summer has started well in Bryn Gwlad! 

Lots of friends at the evening park and 
we also have a new (and better) archery 
practice location on Sunday afternoons. 

Last Tuesday evening, many of us were
delighted to see fireworks to the north.  
Yesterday we enjoyed a very fun, silly, 
and delicious revel minor.  

On July 10th, I'll be teaching a youth class
on poetry at the park.  All ages are welcome.  

On July 17th, Lord Uther is planning a bearpit
tourney for chivalric warriors at the park.

The Baron's Men are preparing a new play, 
and many Guilds are also active this summer. 

This is a great month for visiting events 
if you're able to travel.  Coronation will be
held July 7th in Emerald Keep, and I hope to 
see many friends there.  The King's Round Table
will be held in Shadowlands on July 14th and
and is a good opportunity to learn more about
the workings of our Society.   Queen's Champion 
will be held in Gate's Edge on July 21st. 
Steppes Artisan AND Archer will be held on 
July 28th - excellent competitions!

Pennsic will also be starting the last weekend
in July.  Going to Pennsic is like going to Rome:
you have to do it at least once in your life!
Some people enjoy this great war every year.
