I've always been interested in medieval food. I joined the SCA-Cooks  
list shortly after it formed in 1997. However, I don't feel confident  
enough of my cooking abilities, or at least handling those many  
emergency situations that often seem to come up in SCA feasts, to do  
a large feast on my own. However, I have done a luncheon for the  
Crown and their Entourage and I often do individual period dishes at  
home and for SCA pot lucks.  I have occasionally helped out in SCA  
kitchens locally and at other group's events.
