[Bryn-Gwlad] Award Recommendations - August 21st

Greetings Bryn Gwlad!

Our Society is shaped in part by those who are
recognized by the Court.  Some of these honors
may be prizes or gifts while others may be 
word-fame or awards.   Many awards carry 
precedence and titles.  

One of the most important awards someone
may be given is an Award of Arms. This honor 
is usually given to someone who has been in the 
Society for at least a year or more AND whose
positive efforts & merits are recognized by 
the Crown.  It is not an award for attendance, 
rather a recognition of valued participation.

The Crown has requested award recommendations
one month before an event, so I am asking for 
these award recommendations to please be sent 
to me by Tuesday, August 21st.  Recommendations 
should be submitted in writing and may be 
mailed, emailed, or given to me in person.  
If you opt to send a recommendation directly 
to the Crown, I request a courtesy copy.  

Please do NOT send these recommendations
to the list.  It is always best for awards 
to be a surprise.  Also a recommendation 
might not be immediately accepted by the 
Crown, so we don't want to disappoint anyone.   

When making an award recommendation for someone,
it is a good idea to include some examples of 
their efforts.  If you're not sure which 
award is best for them, it is fine to just
submit their names for consideration. 

We have MANY people in Bryn Gwlad worthy 
of recognition, so please consider making 
an award recommendation for someone you admire.
