[Bryn-gwlad] OT - Good news and a request

I just got the word today that after two years of trying, my name will go on
the kidney transplant list this week. The average wait time in this part of
the country is 3 to 5 years.

Now for my request. Please take a minute to decide whether or not you'd be
willing to be an organ donor, and tell your family. Find out whether or not
they'd want to do the same. I'm not asking anyone to be a living donor, but
to pass your organs on when you're done with them. I'm not trying to start a
debate about it, but asking people to simply let your family know how you
feel. I know it seems morbid to some, but for others, it's a chance to live
again. That's a gift no words can express. An organ donor can give that to
more than one person - the same person I will (hopefully) get a kidney from
will also help someone with their other kidney - their heart and liver will
go to two others. And every person helped (transplantees and their families)
will be grateful for a very long time.

Realy, it's the ultimate act of chivalry and courtesy.
