And if nothing else has some period names ;)

Some German seems like you can almost sound it out some words seem to 
similiar to english words...or is that just me?

Not that I read German (some of you might)  but I found this group in
Germany who seems to  be doing re-enactment/living history based on 1300
Berlin.  The photos, especially the crossbows, are extremely nice
