Ahhh okay...I did not kow that...always thought English had that Latin base, 
Italian, French, Spanish etc....learn something new everyday...which I try 
to do anyway : )

Well, since a good bit of English is, in fact Germanic, then no...it's not

Some German seems like you can almost sound it out some words seem to
similiar to english words...or is that just me?
