Another beautiful day in Bryn Gwlad!
I want to thank everyone who attended the Land Court Revel and
took part in the activities. I want to especially thank our steward,
Lord Rurik and our cartographers, Lord Douglas and Her Ladyship
Amata. Thanks to Lady Danielle for serving people as a scribe.
Lord Laszlo, Lady Catalina, & Lord Wilhelm served as voice heralds.
Thanks also to Lord Garreth and Lady Rhiannon as my entourage.
I received many wonderful items which will be used as prizes
and gifts to recognize others (except for the delicious bread
made by Baroness Kezia which the Baron will be enjoying).
Some people pledged future services - such scrolls.
I praise all who give such things and services for others.
In addition to individual presentations, several guilds were
represented as well. My thanks to Dreda and all who
sewed the gift bags for the tiles - and my congratulations
to Lady Sharon for winning a prize for her sewing.
Her Ladyship Amata presented a beautiful new map
of Bryn Gwlad created in a period style - which I hope
to have framed. Lord Laszlo petitioned the construction
of a new tower for the Collegium Turris Animarum.
The Baronial Guard also made a presentation.
The court also considered several cases for judgement
including the case of the missing shoes, the case of the
hapless herald, and the attempted assasination of the
baron last fall - the latter was fined 500 head of cattle -
which she produced in court! Too funny! :)
There was much persona play throughout the court.
I received some beautiful letters of greeting and
petition - all very well written. I saw gaming
and heard much laughter. My thanks also to
the Dance Guild for organizing some dancing!
When the revelry was over, the hall was cleaned
quickly and efficently. My thanks to all who helped.
Some of our friends were unable to attend the Land Court
for various reasons. We missed you! We look forward
to our next greetings whenever they occur.
Myself as Witness,
Thomas
