Now that is a very interesting declaration. I was sitting at his feet and
did not hear it. Perhaps I was distracted but...tax collector?

As for being called into the Baron's presence, if you hadn't tried to ask
for grants from him outside of court, attempting to circumvent rules when he
and you both know heralds are all about rules, perhaps things would have
gotten off to a better start. You were quite confrontational about asking
for favors, I thought

And while he was indeed willing to grant lands for your awards given by our
Crown, I thought it highly inappropriate to try to get land from him for an
award granted by another Baron. That the Baron in question was Master Edwin
FitzLloyd was additionally a problem for you. I find it interesting that a
herald of your caliber (and you did proclaim a heraldic title from a former
Laurel King of Arms) would not have done the research necessary to find
there was history between Master Edwin and our own Master Thomas.

I myself, while knowing a bit of their history, did not realize that Master
Edwin owed money to Master Thomas. I was quite surprised when our Baron
allowed you to clear Master Edwin's debt. What an honor for you to do such
a service for another Baron. I hope you find Master Edwin rewards you well.

In witness,
Rhiannon o Goes Niwlog

You don't need a personal herald when an impersonal herald will do.
This evening, our most nobble baron declared that I may act as his tax
collector.  You may find it of benefit to send your taxes via me;
as I also found out this evening, getting called into the baron's
presence can be hideously expensive.
