[Bryn-gwlad] rapier target at gulf wars

I saw a rapier target at one of the gulf wars rapier
tourneys.  I didn't get a chance to take a real good
look at it.  It was a metal rod with three tennis
balls at varying heights that someone was using to
practice the rapier with.

I have picked up a 1/4 inch 6 foot metal rod and the
tennis balls. I am going to drill holes in the ball
and run them through  then use a washer or just tape
to hold the balls in place. I need some help in
devising a base.  My woodworking skills are so so and
my my welding skills non existent.  Anyone know how to
make a base for this.  i can just push the rod in the
ground, but i want something i can use wherever
whether there is ground cement or linoleum
