My brother, John, is a professional blacksmith. He sent me this
information last night about a seminar to be held March 31. As he says,
it ain't free but it is a great deal. Blacksmiths will be flying in to
see this and paying for air fair and hotels so the cost of the seminar
will be the smallest of their costs. We are lucky enough to have this in
our area so we can avoid all those travel costs.

If you are seriously interested in blacksmithing it may be worth the $60
to see the best in the world demonstrate and teach her techniques. I
recommend bringing a notepad so you can take lots of notes.

James,

Just a note to let you know that our Central Texas blacksmithing
association (Balcones Forge) is bringing Dorothy Steigler to Marble Falls,
Texas for a two day event next week on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday,
April Fool's Day.

Dorothy is probably the best living blacksmithing demonstrator in the
world. She is extremely entertaining and very clear and just has awesome
knowledge of blacksmithing techniques. It is one thing to know how to
forge. It is another to know how to really teach someone else that
knowledge!

This show ain't free! It'll set you back sixty bucks for the seminar and
another fifteen if you want to go to the catered dinner and slide show on
Saturday night. It should be well worth the coin, if you are serious
about forging. You will never in your life see a better blacksmithing
demonstration than this. For information and registration, go to
www.balconesforge.org

We will have a drawing for a FREE genuine Bill Bastas forging hammer.
This is, without a doubt, the finest handmade forging hammer on Earth. To
be eligible for the drawing, you MUST register ahead of time.

Let your friends know. We still have seats available. If they have
burning questions that are not answered at the website, they can call me
at 830-798-3710.
