Ok guys im only going to say this once the movie 300 no matter what historical truth there is about this movie it comes down to this ..........It was based on a comic book series by Frank Miller the same guy who did Sin City ! its a comic book movie like ghostrider or Fantastic 4 or even X-Men so now you know and knowing is half the battle lol GI JOE!!!!!!!!!!! haha laters

The 300 Spartans didn't just hold up the Persian Army,they destroyed the
1,000,000 man Persian Army (each Spartan soldier effectively "defeated"
3,333 men each) and in doing so ended the war. I think this would qualify
as bringing vistory to their side. Otherwise the Greek nation would more
than likely have been crushed.
