After checking with Hobby Lobby and the original
manufacturer of the wooden unstained chess pieces I
have found they no longer make the staunton chess
pieces. I was wondering how we would proceed with
chess pieces for the games. There is a site that
sells wholesale pieces.
http://www.wholesalechess.com. The quality club chess
piece sets are 3.29 if you order 20. for tournament
size pieces (3.75" king) and 1.19 for mini size
pieces (1.5" king and 1" base) which would work
better for the travel set. Great hall games charges a
bit more for the pieces. I didn't know if we are
looking at getting pieces like this or attempting to
carve the pieces ourselves.
