Happy New Year!

May Day was once considered the first day of summer
(which is why June 22nd is still referred to as 
Midsummer Day).  The Maypole rituals are just as
happy in the spring or summer.  Tis a good a day 
to start the new year for our Society.  

We'll decide about this evening's rapier tourney
later this afternoon.  Either way, I'm planning
to be at the park (unless its reigning felines
& canines).  We had a good time last time!
