[Bryn-gwlad] More on Official Practices

To address some of the responses to my email regarding using the 41st Overpass as a practice location:
   
  Martel, you rock.  I love enthusiastic people, both as a member of the populace and as Seneschal.  You haven't overstepped a thing.  Keep doing what you are doing.  My response was not meant at all to squash your enthusiasm.
   
  All my comments beyond 'this will NOT be an Official SCA practice' are my opinion, based on my knowledge of the location.  I do not think it is safe.  I think some motorist driving by might freak out and call the Police.   I think you would need permission to be there and I do not think it's likely you'd get it.   
   
  However, there are backyard practices going on all over town.  There are people gathering to do artisan things in homes that could potentially be dangerous.  These things are all fine, I'm not your mom, I'm your Seneschal.  As individuals, you can make whatever decision you want to as to where to practice your arts or fighting skills.  But as one response said, just don't use the SCA name.
